Hands-On Exercises 5: The Pages I Must Read and Pages Relevant for Me Web Part

Now, it’s time for you to test your knowledge about the ‘Pages I Must Read’ and the ‘Pages Relevant for Me’ web parts.

1) From the IT Handbook you have created, change the template for the Pages I Must Read web part to the ‘MustRead2.html’ template and the template for the Relevant for Me web part to the “Relevant.html” template. Watch the difference.

2) First, make the web parts display pages from both the ‘Employee Handbook’ under ‘Shared Functions’ and the IT Handbook you have created. Then change the web parts to only display pages from the IT Handbook you have created.

NOTE: Because the handbook pages aren’t indexed by SharePoint yet, the web part will not be able to display them at this point.
