Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this release.
Please check previous release notes if you are not upgrading from the latest version. 
This release has been tested in the following environment:

• Office 365 tenant and Azure
• SharePoint Server 2013
• SharePoint Server 2016

Wizdom Add-In now works on SharePoint Server 2019 Preview.

NOTE: As the Modern SharePoint Experience platform and development framework is too far behind SharePoint Online, the Wizdom on Modern SharePoint Experiences capabilities are currently not supported on SharePoint Server 2019.  

New features

 

Project Module

• Projects has been renamed to Workspaces.
• Site Repository settings have been moved from instance configuration to type configuration. This means that you now may have workspaces with different repository options in the same instance.
• The database column “EmptySlotsThreshold” is now configurable through UI when using Site Collection Repositories.
• The “EmptySlotsThreshold” has been set to 3 for all types.

 

Corporate News

• It is now possible to search for Modern Only, Classic Only, and both Modern and Classic news.

Wizdom for Modern SharePoint

 

Corporate News

• You can now see how many views a news item has on all templates in a Corporate news. However, this is only possible if the web part uses ‘Search’ (not CAML)
• It is now possible to search for Modern Only, Classic Only, and both Modern and Classic news.
• Now, author is shown, and a ‘Show more’ button is added. This button shows the number of news items , which is already shown, but adds the number of news items, set in the PropertyPane. Default is set to 10.

Page Properties

• Page Properties now updates when you edit/save pages
• New icons in Page Properties bar, and new popups for “expired” and “marks a read” notices
• Page properties now supports theming

• Deleted site collections cannot be removed from  the site collection list

• Bad time formatting in emails (timezone problems)

• Missing translation of “show suggested”

• Setting suggested channels in web part fails
• If you open an news item from the notification panel and unchecks “read” before you close it, it dissapears from the overview web part (should remain because it is not marked as read)

People Directory web part

• Search fails with custom tenant result source

Rich-Text Editor

• Popup menu is hidden behind editor
• Better error messages needed
• Insert image from link fails

Page Contact

• If “Department” has been mapped to a different term set, the custom properties are not found. Solved by adding “TaxomomyId” field to the “Page Contact” admin. page. If this field is left blank the standard “Department” term set is used.

Project Module

• Project roles with the same name are shown multiple times in role picker
• Metadata values from term store not sorted alphabetically
• Deprecated terms are shown, but not selectable – should be completely hidden
• Favourites in webpart has a limit of 30

• Wrong location show when using fixed location

Other

• Missing ~appUrl replacement in ExecuteEndpointAction
• Error clicking an instance in instance list (Projects, Courses, Service Desks) if one of the administrators has been deleted from the Principal table
